Golkar Party DPP chairman Airlangga Hartarto said the support from the Golkar Party DPP chairman made it easier for his party to establish communication with other political parties. He claimed to have received the support of the three chairmen of the board.
The three chairmen of the board include Chairman of the Board of Trustees Aburizal Bakrie, Chairman of the Honorary Council Akbar Tandjung, and Chairman of the Council of Experts Agung Laksono. The three of them also provided important input and suggestions, one of which is maintaining solidity and targeting victory in the 2024 elections.
Airlangga added that the chairmen of the council also emphasized the decisions made by the National Conference, Rapimnas and Rakernas regarding the political direction of the Golkar Party.

“So this support makes it easier for the Golkar Party to communicate with other parties and with solidity with all ranks, I am optimistic that the Golkar Party can win in the 2024 elections,” said Airlangga in a written statement, Wednesday (2/8/2023).
Airlangga admitted that the support from the chairmen of the council strengthened the internal solidity of the party bearing the banyan tree. Previously, 38 heads of the Level I DPD Golkar had also expressed their support for the management of the DPP in Bali.
Apart from the verbal support, Airlangga revealed that some of the councils in the Golkar Party DPP had already sent written input and support. The Coordinating Minister for the Economy said that support from all levels within the party allowed Golkar to focus on continuing the struggle for national development, starting from promoting political stability, quality economic growth, and equitable development throughout Indonesia. Airlangga said the chairmen of the council also gave notes to fight for Indonesia’s 2045 vision.
“During the leadership of Mr. Aburizal Bakrie, the Golkar Party was the only party that had prepared a vision for Indonesia 2045. This was in line with what the government had prepared for the 2025-2045 Long Term Development Plan (RPJP), “said Airlangga.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Aburizal Bakrie, said that the three chairmen of the council hoped that Airlangga’s leadership would pay attention to obtaining the legislative election target. He admitted that he had handed over the decision to the coalition and the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidates to the general chairman of the DPP Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto.
“We are happy with the preparations made by the DPP and we all support what will be done with all the strength we have,” he concluded.
