Chairman Golkar Airlangga Hartarto gathered 38 Golkar DPD 1 Chairmen from all over Indonesia. During the meeting there was an urge to join and carry Prabowo Subianto.
West Kalimantan DPD 1 Golkar chairman Maman Abdurrahman revealed that the meeting between Airlangga and Golkar officials took place in Bali. One of the things discussed at the meeting was related to the rejection of the Munaslub discourse. Apart from that, there has also been encouragement from the majority of level 1 regional Golkar officials to hold a meeting to support Ketum Gerindra Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.
“The meeting with 38 DPD 1 Chairmen throughout Indonesia in Bali yesterday with the General Chairperson, apart from discussing the rejection of the Munaslub, also in a relaxed and informal discussion, most of the inner atmosphere of several DPD 1 encouraged that Golkar can form a coalition with Gerindra,” said Maman Abdurrahman, Sunday (30/7/2023).
Maman captured the reasons a number of administrators pushed Golkar to form a coalition with Gerindra. Maman mentioned Prabowo’s political background, which had been in Golkar.
“Because Pak Prabowo was in Golkar and in the 2014 presidential election, Golkar formed a coalition to support Pak Prabowo,” he said.

Not only that, according to the Golkar DPD, Prabowo’s electability is also significant.
“In addition, Pak Prabowo’s electability, according to Golkar DPD 1 friends, is quite flashy and significant,” he said.
