The 31-year-old Thorbjørn Olesen was arrested by police after a flight from Nashville to London in 2019 and was accused of, among other things, sexual harassment after he took a woman by the breast, pushed one of the cabin crew and urinated on a first-class seat.
Olesen has always claimed that he does not remember anything because he took sleeping pills and drank alcohol.
“I do not remember anything after the start, but I am ashamed of my behavior. I paid a high price for my mistake. “This has had a devastating effect on me personally, on my family and on my career,” he said in a statement.
Olsen was suspended from golf for eleven months after the events and has dropped significantly in the world rankings, to 432nd place.
“I have learned that my mistake and will never put myself in a similar situation again.”
