Australian golfer Cameron Smith won his first title in the controversial LIV Golf series.
The reigning winner of the British Open and third in the world rankings prevailed in Chicago / Illinois ahead of the two Americans Dustin Johnson and Peter Uihlein and secured the prize pool of four million US dollars.

Kaymer misses the top 30
With a total of 203 shots, Smith remained three shots ahead of his two American opponents. Former world number one Martin Kaymer of Mettmann missed a spot in the top 30 as 37th.
The series is funded by Saudi Arabia with astronomical sums and is therefore heavily criticized. The Chicago tournament was the fifth this year and this picture.
