Golden Wedding Anniversary celebrated with Vow Renewal Cermony in Mulhouse, France

For the golden wedding anniversary of Jean-Jacques and Madeleine Albrecht, who married on March 9, 1973 in Mulhouse, the mayor of Lutterbach, Rémy Neumann, renewed their vows.

Madeleine Türck was born on June 10, 1943, in Colmar. From the age of 12, she came to live in Mulhouse, with her grandmother. “She worked in a restaurant, that’s where I met her,” recalls Jean-Jacques Albrecht, as if it were yesterday. “They were three friends, I served all three of them,” laughs Madeleine.

Born in Épinal on March 5, 1949, with his fitter CAP in hand, the Vosgien, at 18, was hired by Peugeot, where he spent his entire career. As soon as they got married, the couple moved to the Résidence de la Forêt, in Lutterbach. Then he lived on rue Saint-Jean and at the Quatre-Saisons to return to the residence.

Madeleine devoted herself to her four children and chose the profession of childminder. The couple is also involved in community life: Madeleine is a member of the committee of the Lutterbach Humanitarian and Sharing Association, collected money for the League Against Cancer for ten years and still knits at the Bel-Air center in Mulhouse.

Football and gardening

Jean-Jacques has invested heavily in the Lutterbach football club, as a player, vice-president and coach, to follow the team of his grandson Ludovic. “In the morning, I played, in the afternoon, I ran the bar. I also traced the ground and did the housework,” he laughs.

Today, while Madeleine takes care of her plants, Jean-Jacques takes care of their family garden. He irons and “does the cooking”, she cleans him up. The newspaper offers them its congratulations on their golden wedding anniversary.
