Harry Kane has been named Europe’s most accurate goalscorer of the past season. The Englishman received the “Golden Shoe” on Tuesday in the presence of his family in the club museum of the record champions.

He had scored a total of 36 Bundesliga goals for FC Bayern Munich – more than any other attacker in the European leagues.
Before Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland had won the award: “It’s a fantastic feeling. I can only say thank you to my club, my teammates. The award is for everyone, without you I wouldn’t be standing here today,” said Kane.
Kane: “The important thing is that we win titles”
Despite the award, Europe’s most successful striker is still without a title, but Kane wants to change that in the new season: “I want to continue as I started last season. But it is important that we win the titles. We want to achieve success as a team.”
The 31-year-old Kane is the third Bayern professional to be awarded the Golden Shoe after Gerd Müller (1970, 1972) and Robert Lewandowski (2021, 2022). “You have seamlessly joined the tradition of great goalscorers at FC Bayern,” said Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen in his laudation.
The prize for the top goalscorer of a season was awarded by the French trade magazine “L’Équipe” from 1968 to 1991. Since 1997, the association “European Sports Media” (ESM) has awarded the “Golden Shoe”.
