500 children and adolescents die of cancer each year in France. Thus, the donations collected during the golden september, will be used to finance research against pediatric cancers. TO Ouistreham, in the north of Caen (Calvados), this will be the first time that the town has committed itself to this international cause. Saturday September 4 and Sunday September 5, 2021, several activities will be presented.
Sports and musical entertainment
One euro per activity will be donated to the League against cancer. On Saturday, frisbee, archery and even a shuffleboard game will be offered to participants. These events will take place at Place Lemarignier, from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
The next day, on the beach of Riva-Bella, near the first aid station number 1, the activities will be more early in the morning. From 9:30 am to 12 noon, the public will be able to explore an “out of the ordinary” challenge with the music of DJ Phil in the background.
During the month of September 2021, the pupils of the schools of the City will make drawings with the color gold to then give them to the sick children of the CHU of Caen and of the François Baclesse center.
