Yang Qun, a veteran star of film and television for decades, died of bladder cancer at 2:10 am on October 24, accompanied by his wife Yu Fengzhi and children, at the age of 88. Yang Qun lived with his wife in Cerritos, Los Angeles County, he and his wife, who had been with him for 61 years, and their children were very saddened by his disappearance.

According to Wikipedia, Yang Qun, formerly known as Yang Pengju, is a Harbin and Canadian Chinese. He entered the film industry at the age of 15. Before emigrating to the United States, he was a veteran actor in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and belongs to one of the elder Shaw Brothers. He won the 7th (1969) and 11th (1973) Taiwan Golden Horse Awards for Best Actor.
Although he had already entered the film industry in the mid-1950s, he became very famous for his role as a lover, Chen Shimei in “Qin Xianglian” in 1963, and has since become famous. He has since been nominated for Best Actor four times at the Golden Horse Awards.
Yang Qun and Yu Fengzhi founded the Fengming Film Company in 1970. They engaged in the creation of films as producers and directors. Their works “Shenyuan” and “Forbearance” won Taiwan’s 9th Golden Horse Award for Best Feature Film and the 11th Golden Horse Award for Best Drama at the Golden Horse Awards.
