(CNN) — The nominees for the 81st edition of the Golden Globe Awards were revealed Monday morning.
The Globes held a farewell ceremony for the HBO series “Succession,” for which several cast members earned individual acting nominations, in addition to best drama series, for a total of nine nominations . It was also a good morning for everyone who took the time to make a Barbenheimer double feature. Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” earned the most nominations of any film with nine, and director Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” earned eight.
There were 27 first-time nominees, including Ali Wong, Chris Rock, Steven Yeun and Trevor Noah.
The 2024 Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 7 on CBS and Paramount+.
