Barbie in Oppenheimer go into battle again. The films have received the most nominations for the Golden Globe Awards. The series Succession leads the nominations at the TV awards. The awards will be presented on January 7.
Barbie has a chance to win nine prizes, including the best musical film or comedy, the best screenplay and the best leading actors (Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling).
Oppenheimer has been nominated a total of eight times. Christopher Nolan’s film biography of more than three hours has a chance in the categories of best drama film, best screenplay and best leading actors (Emily Blunt and Cilian Murphy).
Both Barbie as Oppenheimer was shown in cinemas last summer. They were released at the same time and this created a real battle between the two films. Finally knew Barbie to attract just a few more visitors to the halls.
The HBO series Succession, which recently came to an end, has a chance to win nine prizes. The series has been nominated for the award for best drama series. Several actors from the series are also in the running for a Golden Globe. This applies to Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin, among others.
The Golden Globes are a good indicator for the Oscars: many films that are nominated for this ultimately end up in the nominations for the most famous film awards.
The Golden Globes will be presented on January 7. Last year the most awards went to The Fabelmans in The Banshees of Inisherin.
