This Tuesday, the A36 towards Mulhouse between Beaune and Seurre was closed in both directions for a good part of the morning. Access was closed at distributor n°1 for Seurre and at the junction between the A31 and the A36. An exit was compulsory at broadcaster n°1 for Seurre/Saint-Jean-de-Losne. Traffic was reopened around 11:30 a.m.
This closure was linked to work on a high voltage line.
A fall of cables which had prevented the harvest of asparagus
Indeed, on April 7, after strong gusts of wind linked to storm Diego, electrical cables had fallen above a field of asparagus in the territory of the municipality of La Bruyère. That day, the A36 had already had to be closed in the area to work on the cables, causing traffic jams towards Beaune and on the Seurre exit ramp. In addition, this fall of cables had then prevented the harvest of the EARL (agricultural exploitation with limited responsibility) of the Acacias.

“Pylons 150 and 145 which only held on one side”
“On Thursday April 7, strong gusts of wind exerted tension on the electric cables, which deformed then broke the heads of the pylons and caused the breakage or the fall of certain cables, in particular on pylons 150 and 145. Securing work has been carried out, whether on the cables overhanging the motorway or those on the fields of Mme Calabria. Our services proceeded, until the evening of Friday April 8, to remove the damaged cables and to guy the pylons 150 and 145 which only held on one side. It was Mrs. Calabria who indicated where to put the stays so as not to interfere with her. The repair of the broken pylon heads will not be done before the end of May, the time to order the broken parts, the line can then be repaired”, explained in April the Manager of the RTE electricity transmission network.
