Varied activities to bring the site to life
Each visitor, by paying his entrance ticket, is a patron of the abbey. To cope with the incessant restoration work, many events have been designed to attract different audiences.
Meet at the gardens
Saturday June 5 and Sunday June 6, the three gardeners of Fontenay will offer guided tours (departures at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.).
New: a game booklet for 7/12 year olds
Children can investigate to find clues to unmask the culprit! A fun way to discover the history of this 12th century monumente century.
Exposition Alfred Latour a Fabric Designer
From Saturday July 3 to Tuesday August 31, the public will be able to admire the re-edition of the Fontenay murals created in the 1950s by Pierre Aynard (father of the current owner) and the artist Alfred Latour.
Nocturnal on Saturdays July 17 and August 14
A remarkable moment: the Gregorian choir of Dijon, the Ambrosinians, gives a concert by the light of more than 1,200 candles distributed in the cloister, the chapter house, the heating room, the scriptorium.
Officina Romana concert, Saturday August 7
Discover music in Rome at the start of the 18th centurye century, with the countertenor Carlo Vistoli under the direction of Paolo Zanzu. Prices: 25 to 40 €.
