For this easy-level hike (8.5 km, 3 hours), which should be avoided in strong heat as there is little shade, go to the parking lot of the Grande Cave de Vougeot. A sign in the corner, near the departmental road, marks the starting point.
On this Wednesday at the end of July, it is almost 9 o’clock when I set off, following the yellow markings. A few steps in the grass still bring me closer to the departmental and the truck traffic, which I will leave very quickly. The first few meters make me discover Vougeot, a wine-growing village: here a press, then the wash house and the Vouge, with its mill. Village from which we are already leaving to sink into the vineyards, since we are now interested in the Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits and the emblematic Château du Clos de Vougeot.
