A 42-year-old man admitted to being the author of a dozen fire starts in Côte-d’Or, report our colleagues from Good public this Thursday.
The man had been arrested in flagrante delicto and placed in police custody after two starts of brush fire, Tuesday evening in Précy-Sous-Tille, in the north-east of Morvan, according to the gendarmerie. A search of his vehicle revealed incriminating evidence.

He admitted to being “the author of the two starts of fire for which he was arrested as well as a dozen other similar acts committed in the western sector of the department during the past month”, indicated the gendarmerie in a statement.
The man was presented this Thursday to the Dijon prosecutor’s office and will be tried on August 31 for 19 acts of degradation by dangerous means.
