The price of gold jumped today, Friday, in Egypt at the beginning of trading compared to prices yesterday evening, and the price of a gram increased by 35 pounds, according to what Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy.

14 karat gold prices rose to 2133 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 carat gold increased to 2743 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 carat gold reached 3,200 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold rose to 3657 pounds per gram.

The price of the gold pound rose to about 25,600 pounds, and the price may vary from one merchant to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
Gold price globally
The global price of gold rose to about $2,039 per ounce (an ounce is equivalent to about 31.1 grams of 24 karat), on Friday morning, an increase of 0.52%, according to Bloomberg data.
