The price of a 21 gram of gold in Egypt increased today, Saturday, February 8, 2020, to 687 pounds compared to 685 pounds on Friday, according to Naguib Club, Secretary General of the Gold Division in the Cairo Chamber of Commerce to Masrawy.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold today rose to 588.8 pounds, and 24 carats to 758.1 pounds, while the price of a pound of gold recorded 5496 pounds.
Globally, gold prices recorded a slight increase on Friday, which amounted to 0.24%, to reach an ounce of $ 1570.4, according to Bloomberg data.
The rise in gold comes amid growing concerns about the impact of the Corona virus on economic growth in the world and China.
Today and tomorrow is an official holiday on the global stock exchange.
