The price of gold fell today, Thursday, in Egypt by evening trading, and the price of a gram fell by 60 pounds, compared to its level in the middle of trading, according to data from the Gold and Jewelry Division of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce.
The price of a gram of gold fell by 15 pounds at the beginning of trading, then continued to decline by 25 pounds in the middle of trading, and fell again by evening trading, bringing the value of the decline in the price of one gram so far to 100 pounds.
Gold prices witnessed a significant jump over the past two days, jumping by more than 130 pounds per gram.

18-karat gold fell to 2,160 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 carat gold fell to 2520 pounds per gram.

The global price of gold rose to about $1,986 per ounce (an ounce is equivalent to about 31.1 grams of 24 karat gold) by Thursday evening’s trading, an increase of $6.33, or 0.32%, compared to the end of yesterday’s trading, according to Bloomberg data.
