Gold prices fell in the local market, during trading today, Thursday, for the sixth consecutive day, as the gram lost about 11 pounds of its value, compared to its level yesterday, bringing the total of what it lost during the six days to 39 pounds so far.

Naguib Club, former general secretary of the gold division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a gram of 21 carat gold decreased during today’s trading to 816 pounds compared to 827 pounds, in the middle of yesterday’s trading.

The price of a gram of 18 carat gold was about 699 pounds, and the price of a 24-carat gram was about 933 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold reached 6528 pounds.

Globally, gold prices fell by 0.53% during today’s trading, as the price of an ounce fell by about $ 9.8 compared to the end of yesterday’s trading, to record $ 1853 an ounce at exactly 12:09 noon Cairo time, according to Bloomberg data.

The price of an ounce of gold lost about $ 96 during the last 4 sessions at the end of yesterday’s trading.
