Gold prices jumped during Friday’s trading, to help rise the price of the yellow metal in Egypt by about 35 pounds in a week.
Naguib Club, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold price today is 730 pounds per gram compared to 695 pounds last Friday.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold today rose to 625.7 pounds, 24 carats to 834.3 pounds, and the gold pound rose to 5,840 pounds.
The club added that the sales movement in the stores is suspended due to the implementation of the curfew decision, noting that the shops of Al-Saa will resume operations next Monday, indicating that the price increase is caused by the increase in the price of crude globally.
