Yesterday the time had finally come: a total of 35 graduates were awarded for her excellent professional work, special scientific merit or the close bond honored with the University of Graz.

Rector Martin Polaschek handed that over “Golden Doctoral Degree” at the ceremony in the auditorium, among others, to the former President of the Supreme Court Irmgard Griss, the long-time Raiffeisen general Georg Doppelhofer and the former director of the Chamber of Commerce Benno Rupp. “The social commitment of our graduates distinguishes the university and is a role model for our students,” said the rector, acknowledging the achievements and renewing the academic degrees of the jubilarians.
The well-known ORF journalist was also honored Gudrun Groebelbauer, the ex-boss of the State Press Service Styria Dieter Rupnik and Heinz Wietrzyk, former President of the Graz Higher Regional Court.
