It was a promise. After being part of the jury for the 2019 edition of the Golden Micros, this event created in 1987 by the UJSF (Union of Sport Journalists in France) and sponsored by the CNOSF (French National Olympic and Sports Committee), Clarisse Agbégnénou, had promised to come back this year if she was appointed president of the jury. Her two Olympic champion titles won at the Tokyo Olympics did not change anything and the 29-year-old judokate was in Morzine at the start of the week to interview the journalists whose reports had been selected. On Wednesday evening, she was also on the stage of the Palais des sports to accompany all the members of the jury.
Sitting next to Cédric Nankin, the wheelchair rugby player, she attentively followed the 35th edition presented, as every year, by RTL journalist Christophe Pacaud.
Always mischievous but also very involved in the event, Clarisse Agbégnénou has contributed to establishing a track record rich in emotions. “We deliberated well,” she explained. The judokate attentively followed the prize list which began with the “Sport Scriptum” prize where the book “Do not stop running” by Mathieu Palain, which traces the agitated life of Toumany Coulibaly, the French champion in the 400m in room in 2015, sentenced to prison for burglary.

Mathieu Darmon (Canal +) won the “magazine” category for “Back in flames”, his story about Romain Grosjean’s terrible accident in Formula 1.
Clarisse Agbégnénou herself presented the penultimate award, the special jury prize. This one returned to Benoit Durand (France 2) for his report “Body and soul” which relates the two years of preparation for the Olympic Games of Kevin Mayer. “Thank you to the journalists for having played the game,” said the judokate. It couldn’t have been easy, maybe they were a little stressed. Now you know how it feels when you climb on tatami mats or enter the water… You bathed a bit in our secret garden! “
The last Golden Micro, that of the Audience Award, went to Guillaume Papin for a subject on the walker Yves Auberson, suffering from Parkinson’s.
The evening ended around the singer TiBZ and his song “Nation” proudly announced by Clarisse Agbégnénou, obviously a fan of the young man: “We’re going to set the mood a little, we have to sing the chorus! “
