The love of the Austrian people for precious metals, especially gold, is intact. The Austrian Mint repeatedly reports that the demand for gold products has been high since the 2008 financial crisis and huge since the corona pandemic. “We are almost always out of stock. We have never had such low stocks,” says Andrea Lang, spokesman for the Austrian mint. The Gold Philharmonic is also partially sold out and, according to her, demand is at record levels.
