Jetze Plat from Vrouwenakker won gold in the paratriathlon at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Plat won gold for the third time in this event. He also did this at the previous two Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. The resident of our municipality crossed the finish line first with a lead of more than a minute.
Jetze Plat is certainly not finished at the Games. On Wednesday and Thursday he will participate in the time trial and road race in the handbike. On Sunday, the last day of the Games, the 33-year-old Plat will make his Paralympic appearance for the first time in the marathon.
