On Monday afternoon, a man who was participating in a wild boar hunt in the town of Champeau-en-Morvan (Côte-d’Or) was shot in the stomach. A bullet fired by a fellow hunter.
As reported the public good, the author of the shot took the man to the small hospital in Saulieu, a town on the border with Champeau-en-Morvan. There the decision was made to evacuate the victim, then in a state of absolute emergency, by helicopter to the university hospital in Dijon.
Drug and alcohol tests came back negative
The killer was then taken into custody by the gendarmerie, where tests for alcohol and drugs were carried out: both were negative. The man allegedly evoked an accidental shooting in front of the gendarmes, but the investigation will allow us to learn more about the reasons for this incident. The killer was released from police custody on Monday evening.
Evacuated in a very worrying state, the victim’s vital prognosis would not be, according to information from the public good, more committed.
