Gokulam’s first defeat at home. Manipuri club Trau FC defeated Gokulam by two goals to one in the I-League. Manosh Gogoi and Salam Johnson Singh netted for Trau. Gokulam’s consolation goal was scored by Tahir Salman. All three goals were in the second half.
Gokulam squandered all the chances in the first half. 18 points with five wins, three draws and losses in 11 games. He dropped from third to fifth in the points table. Trau climbed to the third position with six wins, one draw and four losses in 11 games.
It was Gokulam’s last home match at Payyanad Stadium. The rest of the home matches will be played at the Kozhikode Corporation EMS Stadium. The next match is against Real Kashmir FC on 20th at 4.30 pm.
