Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Gojek’s logistics service, GoSend, ensures that last mile delivery or delivery of goods directly from the distribution center to consumers (customers) has great potential to increase Gojek’s income and the GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) Group.

Head of Transport and Logistics Gojek, Steven Halim, revealed that during the period September to November 2023, the number of last mile delivery services by GoSend increased by 30 percent.

“The potential is still very large. We still didn’t expect it, it turns out that with this “Flat Ongkir” program, last mile delivery is still very high,” said Steven at a media meeting in Jakarta, Monday (20/11/2023).

“In fact, it matches the delivery level when we were still celebrating Eid. So, there is an increase of up to 30 percent so the potential is still very large,” he continued.

Approaching Christmas and New Year, Steven revealed that his party is targeting an increase in the number of last mile delivery services. He said the target figure was above 30%.

Previously, GoSend launched a “Flat Shipping” offer program for users who use goods delivery services from 10.00 to 12.00 WIB. Through this program, GoSend offers services with prices starting from IDR 10 thousand.

“The GOSENDHEMAT “Flat Ongkir” service is an offer that provides users with economical options for shipping goods, which usually increases towards the end of the year,” said Steven.

Previously, GoTo Logistics (GTL) reported improved performance in the third quarter (July-September) 2023. Adjusted EBITDA for GTL improved 63% from negative IDR 300 billion to negative IDR 100 billion.

Meanwhile, GOTO’s revenue in the first nine months of this year was recorded at IDR 10.5 trillion, growing 102.5% from the achievement in the same period the previous year of IDR 8.0 trillion.

This improvement in top line performance resulted in the company’s losses being cut by 53% on an annual basis (yoy) to IDR 9.5 trillion by the end of September 2023, from an initial net loss of IDR 20.3 trillion in the same period the previous year.
