“Since it was reported, the person’s account has been immediately deactivated and we are currently coordinating intensively with the authorities and representatives of the victim to immediately investigate this case,” said Gojek SVP Corporate Affairs, Rubi Purnomo, Saturday (12/18/2021).
This incident of rape against a nurse by a GoCar partner driver occurred in the South Jakarta area on December 16, 2021. The news of the rape went viral on social media through the tweet of the company that houses the victim.
“We condemn the alleged occurrence of sexual violence against one of our customers by unscrupulous driver partners that occurred on December 16, 2021. This can defame our driver partners who have worked hard for their families and served our customers,” said Rubi Purnomo.
