The fintech app LinkAja announces a strategic investment from Gojek. In raising funds through the issuance of Series B preferred shares, Link Aja received commitments of more than US $ 100 million.
LinkAja CEO Haryati Lawidjaja said, now Gojek is one of LinkAja’s shareholders. He said, Gojek’s entry was expected to provide access to support the acceleration of financial inclusion.
“We are very pleased that Gojek joins as our shareholder, following the investment made by other leading LinkAja shareholders in the Series B fundraising. Gojek’s joining as a strategic shareholder will provide LinkAja access to the Gojek ecosystem to support LinkAja’s mission in accelerating financial inclusion in Indonesia, “he said in a written statement, Tuesday (9/3/2021).
“This strategic investment is a further validation of the growth and progress of LinkAja as a startup established by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises in carrying out our mission to accelerate financial inclusion in Indonesia, especially for people who do not have bank accounts and who have not fully utilized banking services. as well as micro, small and medium enterprises. Through this strategic partnership, we hope to have a bigger and wider impact on the Indonesian economy, “he explained.
