Gojek and TBS Energi Utama Announce Joint Venture Company

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -PT Application of Children’s Work (gojek) and PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (formerly PT Toba Bara Sejahtera Tbk) officially formed a joint venture company. This collaboration aims to build an electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.

In the invitation Tempo received, one that was the basis behind the formation joint venture This is because the government has compiled a roadmap for the use of electric vehicles and the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

Then in 2030, the government has also estimated that there will be 13 million units of electric motors used by the people of Indonesia. So to answer this target, Gojek together with TBS Energi Utama announced this collaboration.

The announcement of the signing of this work will be delivered on Thursday, November 18, 2021. This event is planned to be attended by Deputy President Director of TBS Energi Utama Pandu Patria Sjahrir. Pandu is the nephew of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

On the other hand, TBS Energy Utama is a company engaged in a number of business lines such as electricity, mining, and plantations. In terms of growth, the company holds three mines with a total area of ​​7,087 hectares in Sangasanga, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan.
