“GOG.com Reports $1.2 Million Profit and Growing User Base in 2022”

Although the GOG.com platform was originally created to distribute digital versions of classic titles, the current activity of the website founded by CD Projekt is definitely wider.

It includes e.g. sale of much newer productions, free of DRM protection. This approach is reflected in an increasing number of users, and thus – higher revenues. The proof that GOG.com is heading in the right direction are the website statistics for 2022.

• From the published report, among other things, we learn that in 2022, the platform managed to record profits of USD 1.2 million.

• Such a result would not be possible without the constantly growing number of users. Last year, 11% more people actively used GOG than in 2021. On the other hand, the total number of customers increased by 18%.

• The store generates the largest revenues from Europe – 53% of the company’s revenue comes from the Old Continent. In turn, 37% of GOG’s turnover is accounted for in North America.

The report also lists the biggest releases of “classic” titles on the platform in 2022 – these were Skyrim, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, Wheel of Time, as well as the original Mortal Kombat trilogy. RPGs are the most popular genre among GOG users.

In addition, the platform boasts that in its directory offers 50 “iconic” classic productions that cannot be found in any other store.
