Goedele Liekens will soon be the Open VLD list pusher in Flemish Brabant. She first gives us an insight into her love life and explains why her previous relationship ended. “I was really sad when we had to call it quits.”
“They came here to deliver a bouquet of flowers on Valentine’s Day. I was in the clouds, who had thought of me?” says sexologist Goedele Liekens in an interview with Hello everyone. “At first I thought they came from Edwin (the Dutch lawyer with whom she had an affair for a year, ed.). I was so happy that he still thought of me. So sweet! Until I saw the card: it was for Céleste.
Young children
So where did things go wrong with Edwin? “It was a difficult situation. Edwin lives 200 kilometers from here. He still has young children, and we both have busy jobs. I couldn’t just pass the evening, because I had to be back in parliament early in the morning. And it was hard for me to quit too, right? I was very sad when we had to end it, because we didn’t have arguments at all and there was no mistrust involved. The reason for our break was purely practical. “
Liekens says she knows very well what kind of man she wants: “I like men I can look up to. Who has passion. Art, music, nature, it doesn’t matter. I want someone who can tell me something I don’t know yet.” (pom)
