Goedele Liekens is following an experimental immunotherapy in a private clinic in Spain, as an additional treatment for her skin cancer. “For more security and against relapses,” she says. But professor Bart Neyns (UZ Brussel), authority in immunotherapy, warns. “If it is not applied perfectly, it can just give cancer free rein.”
