“Godfather’s basket”: In effect from April 22 to May 4 – What it predicts – 2024-04-22 13:10:11

With the amendment, businesses specializing in the sale of children’s toys to the consumer public, whose total annual turnover exceeds one million (1,000,000) euros per year, based on the financial statements of the immediately preceding management period, send to the ministry Development, at regular intervals, of a list of consumer products for children’s toys (“godfather’s basket”), from April 22, 2024 until May 4, 2024.

The obligees include at least one (1) product from each product category included in the “godfather’s basket”, if they have products of this category, and make them available at an affordable price, especially compared to other products of the same category, informing consumers, who come to their physical or digital stores, in terms of the composition of the “basket” they propose. This information is provided by any suitable means, in particular with lists, brochures and, mandatory, with special markings on the products or their sales area.

List of products that are part of the “godfathers’ basket” can be sent by other companies besides the ones mentioned above. As long as they send a list of products, they are obliged to comply with the provisions of this amendment.

With the same amendment and with other provisions included therein:

• It is ensured that the aids given, based on the support schemes under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), are paid to the beneficiaries in full.
• Decisions of committees for the determination of seashores and beaches, which were taken before the entry into force of Law 5092/2024, can be approved by the secretary of Decentralized Administration and published, to avoid unnecessary repetition of the process under the new committees.
• The EAS relocation process is being accelerated. S.A. from the area where the Andreas Lentakis government park will be created. To this end, the possibility is provided for the sale or disposal in any convenient way of EAS S.A.’s movable property. located in the area. In this way, the space will soon become available to start the work required to create the government park.
• For the year 2024, the arrangements for the exemption from the Uniform Property Ownership Tax of property rights that have been classified as preserved monuments or works of art are extended. In this way, the existing favorable status for these properties is maintained and their purpose is better served, without the additional financial burden of ENFIA.
