God Will Not Forgive Russia’s Attack on Ukraine

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

President Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyaccused Russia deliberately killed civilians in his invasion. He also said that God would not forgive Russia.

Zelensky made this statement on Sunday (6/3), when some residents were celebrating Forgiveness Week, one of the series leading up to the Orthodox Church Easter.

“Today is Forgiveness Week. However, we cannot forgive the deaths of hundreds of victims, nor the thousands of people who have suffered,” Zelensky was quoted as saying. CNN.

He then said, “And God will not forgive. Not today. Not tomorrow. Never. Not to forgive, but the time of judgment will come.”

Zelensky then accused Russia of planning a deliberate assassination with the announcement of strikes at several points in Ukraine on Monday (7/3).

According to him, Russia is planning an attack in an area where a Ukrainian defense company is located. The company is located in a general urban environment.

“Thousands of people work there. Hundreds of thousands live around it. This is murder. Premeditated murder,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president released this statement a day after a video emerged showing the damage to a Ukrainian tank factory near Zhytomyr due to a Russian attack. This video of the tank factory was published on a pro-Russian Telegram account on Saturday (5/3).

With the video, Russia claims it is trying to “demilitarize” Ukraine. Zelensky regretted that there was no response from Ukraine’s allies regarding the damage to the tank factory.

“And I haven’t heard any reaction from any of the world’s leaders today. No (response) from Western politicians. No reaction from this announcement. Think about the sense of impunity of the (Russian) invaders, they are announcing planned atrocities. Why? ” he said.

The war in Ukraine is still hot right now. So far, the United Nations has reported that 360 civilians have died as a result of Russian strikes, while Ukraine’s emergency services have claimed the death toll has reached 2,000.
