The Kolejarz Chojnice team led by coach Damian Trzebiński is a newcomer, and promotion to the 4th league was its historic achievement. The team from Chojnice has not yet experienced a win or a draw this season. Latest results: Kolejarz – Pomezania 1:3, Sparta – Kolejarz 2:1, Kolejarz – Grom 0:3, Stolem – Kolejarz 2:1.

Saturday’s match started badly. Already in the 2nd minute, after an action on the right wing, the visiting player Tomasz Sawa put Kolejarz in the lead. In the 17th minute, another blow. Japanese Kazuki Kamura struck from 18 meters into the thicket of players in front of the Pogoń goal and beat the covered goalkeeper Kolke.

Pogoń, although they had the ball more often, could not change the result of the match. In the 26th and 27th minutes of the match, Michał Kowalkowski shot twice towards the visitors’ goal and twice the ball narrowly missed the goalpost. Dawid Patelczyk also headed the ball near the goal. Mateusz Dampc had a chance to score in the 37th minute. However, his shot from close range hit the goalkeeper.

It remains a mystery what coach Mateusz Michniewicz told his players during the break. In any case, in the second half we saw a completely different team.

A strong signal that the fate of the match could be changed was given in the 48th minute by Mateusz Dampc, who shot from close range into the goal after a corner kick taken by Michał Kowalkowski, a super assistant this season. Pogon players played more energetically and precisely in this match, which resulted in many chances to score goals. In the 59th minute, Mateusz Dampc carried out a successful offensive action, after which Dawid Patelczyk scored the ball into the net for 2:2.

In the 73rd minute, Nikodem Parulski was fouled in the penalty area. However, the referee’s whistle was silent. Patelczyk and Damian Formela, who was brought on at the end of the match, came close to scoring with headers. In turn, the visitors scored twice against Pogoń and twice from an offside position.

He looked unpleasant three minutes before the end of regular time, a foul on Mateusz Czecholiński. The Pogoń striker suffered a facial injury and the team played with a weakened team for many minutes. When he returned to the pitch, he became the co-author of the winning goal. In the 4th minute of added time, “Czesio” skillfully carried the action along the right side of the pitch, hit the far post, and there Damian Formela entered with a sacrificial slide, scoring the winning goal!

A goal in such circumstances caused euphoria on the bench and in the stands. After a minute, everyone was certain – three points stay in Lębork!

– The first 45 minutes were completely slept through by us – said Mateusz Michniewicz, Pogoń’s coach, after the match. – Kolejarz made great use of it, because they scored a goal in the first minute. In the 15th minute, they had a second shot on our goal and scored a second goal. Then they could have scored a third goal after the third shot. We slept through it. We had our 2-3 situations where we could have scored a goal, but unfortunately we didn’t use them. During the break, we made a few changes, changed the way we attacked. We wanted to thicken the middle more, open the wings to create space for ourselves to run into free space. In this way, we managed to use the advantage we had with the ball at our feet. It’s worth appreciating the substitutes today. Alex Kolasa, Mateusz Czecholiński and Damian Formela created a goal situation for 3:2 and thanks to that they secured our victory.

– We started the match well, we scored two goals quickly, we took the lead – says Damian Trzebiński, Kolejarz coach. – We allowed our opponent too much in the second half, who pushed us to the defense. We were unable to react to that. I congratulate the home team on their victory. We will be looking for more points in the next match.
