In the match played in Zabrze as part of the 5th round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa, we drew away with Górnik Zabrze, 0:0. This is the third match in a row with a clean sheet and the third away match in a row without defeat.
The beginning of the match was marked by the home team’s advantage. In the 10th minute, referee Kuźma initially indicated a penalty after, in his opinion, Kamil Pestka received the ball in an illegal manner; the decision was changed after a VAR review. 10 minutes later we had our first dangerous opportunity; Makuch passed to Crnac in the penalty area, and Szromnik came out on top in a one-on-one duel. In the 32nd minute, Berggren had a chance to give us the lead. Górnik’s goalkeeper came out on top again. Towards the end of the first half, Buksa missed from a few meters.
Medaliki dominated possession from the beginning of the second half. However, Makuch and Amorim’s attempts did not give us the lead. Zabrze threatened our goal twice; first Ismaheel missed, and a few minutes later Szala hit the crossbar. In the last quarter of an hour, the hosts of this match tried to take the initiative; the result was a missed attempt by Wojtuszek inside the penalty area. On the other side of the pitch, Szromnik’s alertness was tested by Lamprou.
