KHORIRA– In the morning of this Wednesday, March 27, 20 goalkeeper trainers from informal clubs and the national championship, benefited from free theory and practical courses at the KPC academy located in Khorira in the prefecture of Dubreka. This one-day course is led by expert Thierry GUILLOU, holder of the UEFA A license, who is also director of the KPC academy.
It is a project led by the municipal football district of Matoto chaired by Ibrahima Sory Diaby Veron, materialized thanks to the collaboration of the KPC academy. The initiator returns to the reasons for this training ” After making an observation on the level of goalkeepers in Guinea, the Matoto football district thought about how to solve this problem. To achieve results, our goalkeepers must be prepared and trained and those who prepare them generally do not have the means or the opportunity to be trained themselves. This is why we said to ourselves that we must give the chance to our goalkeeper trainers. The district does not necessarily have the means to realize this dream. But today, for us to be at the same level as certain countries like Senegal or Morocco, we have to go through training and no actor here is minimized. Today, we were touched by Kemoko Camara, former Syli goalkeeper, who has been at the top level for 20 years, but it’s a first for him to see such an internship for goalkeepers.” explains Diaby Veron who promises that the Matoto football district will not stop there.
He confides that they will always be involved in the training of actors at all levels, for better performance with a view to better qualifying Guinean football.
