Barbara, goalkeeper of the Brazilian women’s team of football, and Andréa Pontes, Paralympic canoeing athlete, exchanged a series of barbs and insults on Instagram this morning.
Andrea, who will not participate in the edition of the Paralympic Games by cutting in the category in which he operates, made ironic criticisms of the goalkeeper’s performance in the national team’s goal. In recent days, Barbara has been the target of attacks on social networks, with several fans questioning his performances with the Brazil shirt.
“Guys, a suggestion. Put Babi Arenhart – handball goalkeeper – in Barbara’s place [do futebol] and it’s all resolved, Brazil champion,” she wrote.
Barbara, upon reading the message, replied. “Why don’t you come in my place? Now, your competition is starting, will you be able to get to know less? Are you competent to go to four Paralympics? Because each one has its limitations, right. It’s training then, as I train for c…, you’ll need to try to be less in a Paralympics”, replied the goalkeeper.

It was Andrea’s turn to speak up. “If you don’t know, I was the 6th best in the world in my category! I don’t remember you being the 6th best goalkeeper in Brazil. I’m not in the Olympics because the Olympic program cut the VL1 category (which is mine), so don’t talk nonsense without knowing!”, he began.
