With the goal set on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, Colombian skateboarding completed the competitions of the 3rd National Championship, a qualifying event for the National Youth Games, events that will be held in the Coffee Region and with which the 2024-2028 Olympic cycle opens.
This national skateboarding championship took place in the skateparks of Pereira (street) and Santa Rosa de Cabal (park) and was attended by 104 athletes from 30 clubs from 10 Leagues in the country: Antioquia, Atlántico, Bogotá, Boyacá, Caldas, Cundinamarca, Meta, Risaralda, Quindío and Valle del Cauca.
At the end of the championship, representatives of 13 clubs belonging to 6 Leagues took the podium, the most notable of these clubs being Viga Skateboarding from Antioquia (2 golds – 2 silvers – 4 bronzes), La Villa SB from Risaralda (2 golds – 1 silver) and Bogotá Skateboarding from the capital of the Republic (1 gold – 2 silvers).
Among the most outstanding skaters who won medals in this national competition are those who have been part of the Colombian national teams in the Olympic cycle and the qualifying process for the Olympic Games, such as Ana María Rendón (La Villa SB), Nico Russi (Bogotá Skateboarding), Manuela Colorado Serna (Viga Skateboarding), Juan Carlos Polanía (Bogotá Skateboarding) and Santiago Henao Mejía (La Villa SB).
