In a high-scoring match in the 3rd round of the 1st Class Central A, Union LUV Graz beat the young team FC Gratkorn II with an impressive 7:3. The match, which was full of excitement and goals from the start, offered spectators a real football spectacle. The hosts were able to build up a clear lead in the first half, which they confidently defended and even extended in the second half.

Early lead and quick equaliser – five goals before half-time
The game began with a bang: FC Gratkorn II took the lead in the 5th minute through Fabio Scherr. The guests’ joy did not last long, however, as just six minutes later Ermin Dzafic equalized for Union LUV Graz to make it 1:1. This quick reaction showed that the hosts were determined to dominate the game. They wanted to finally score points after the two defeats at the start of the season.
In the 22nd minute, Union LUV Graz took the lead for the first time. Lazar Cakic scored to make it 2-1, demonstrating his goal-scoring ability, which was to be of great importance later in the game. Just ten minutes later, it was Cakic again who increased the lead to 3-1, laying the foundation for the subsequent landslide victory.
The first half ended with another goal for Union LUV Graz: Robert Blaha scored the 4:1 in the 45th minute. The team went into the break with this comfortable lead, while FC Gratkorn II urgently needed a tactical adjustment to turn the game around.
Union LUV Graz dominates the second half
The second half began just as furiously as the first ended. In the 54th minute, Lazar Cakic scored again to increase the score to 5:1. The Union LUV Graz striker was in brilliant form that day and made it difficult for FC Gratkorn II’s defense to keep him under control. Just ten minutes later, Cakic scored his fourth goal of the evening, making it 6:1. This practically decided the match.
But FC Gratkorn II showed morale and tried to make the result somewhat bearable. In the 71st minute, Marc Jan König scored the 6:2, followed by another goal by Fabio Scherr in the 76th minute, who scored his second goal of the game and made the score 6:3.
Maurice Moser put the finishing touches to this high-scoring encounter in the 86th minute with his goal to make it 7:3. This was also the final result of a game that was hard to beat in terms of both the number of goals and the entertainment. After 92 minutes, the referee blew the final whistle and Union LUV Graz was able to celebrate a well-deserved home victory.
Overall, this game offered everything a football fan could wish for: lots of goals, exciting twists and turns and outstanding individual performances, especially from Lazar Cakic, who contributed significantly to Union LUV Graz’s victory with his four goals.
