New Delhi 4 4 Malayalam films in the panorama section of the Goa International Film Festival in January. The 20 films include Trance (Director: Anwar Rashid), Kettol is My Malakha (Nizam Basheer), Tahira (Siddique Paravoor) and Saif (Pradeep Kalipurayath). The list also includes the Sanskrit film ‘Namo’ directed by Vijeesh Mani and starring Jayaram in the lead role.
‘Kappela’ directed by Mohammad Mustafa is one of the three films recommended by the Film Federation. Malayalam has the highest number of films in the complete list of 23 films.
Philip Mar Chrysostom The English documentary ‘100 Years of Chrysostom’, directed by Blessy about the great metropolitan, is in the non-feature section. Sharan Venugopalan was also selected for this category as a midfielder. In the feature category, 3 Marathi films and 2 Hindi and Bengali films each are featured in Panorama.
Director John Mathew Mathen presided over the Panorama Jury. The members included Radhakrishnan. Out of 20 films, 2 films will be selected for the International Competition category of the film festival.
