With the qualifiers closed, we now know all the participants of the DreamHack Open January Europe, which will start on next january 27 and has a $ 70,000 prize pool.

The tournament has a list of eight participants total, five of which are direct invitations. These teams are BIG, Evil Geniuses, FunPlus Phoenix, Gambit Sports and Team Spirit.
Evil Geniuses just come off a mediocre performance in the BLAST Premier Global Finals, while BIG seems to be the favorite to win it all.
FunPlus Phoenix will present a new roster that they will probably announce soon and both Gambit Sports as Team Spirit have been on the rise lately and they will want to confirm that they can compete at the highest level.
They are joined by the winners of the closed playoffs, which were the Russian team Strength and the ukrainian team HellRaisers.
The former played the qualifiers with two substitute players, but he looked very convincing and did not drop a single map.
HellRaisers beat Styldunow in the first round but lost to Strength when they were sent to the lower group. There they rallied against Styldunow one more time and they ranked.
Completing the list of participants is the German team Sprout. They received an invitation after his victory at the ESL Meisterschaft Fall 2020, overcoming BIG.
DreamHack Open January 2021 of Europe will start on January 27th, but the groups and the dates and times of the matches have not yet been announced.
