GO Officially Registered on PSE KOMINFO! • Universe Play

A relief? A desperate move to quell public outrage? Or was it done in the name of supporting the Indonesian game industry, which still makes it a super important selling platform? Whatever the reason, Steam did get special treatment from KOMINFO when the PSE registration polemic occurred. Valve’s platform service is immediately opened when the “communication” is created despite the fact that Steam has not officially registered. But the concern that Steam won’t register should be dispelled.

After having established communication with KOMINFO and a promise to register immediately, Valve finally fulfilled this. On August 11, 2022, Valve officially listed three of their products on PSE: Steam, DOTA 2, and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Although the services of these three products have been open for a long time, this is a kind of confirmation that the threat of Steam blocking in the future, at least for PSE problems, will no longer occur. With the emergence of these three names, almost most of the major gaming platforms in Indonesia have already fulfilled their obligations.

Keeping the promise, Valve has finally officially registered Steam, CS:GO, and DOTA 2 with PSE KOMINFO.

This Steam step follows the steps of other platforms that have registered in advance such as Battle.net, Playstation Store, Origin, and Epic Games Store. As for the specific game lock, only two Valve games – DOTA 2 and CS:GO have experienced it. What do you think of the developments regarding PSE KOMINFO so far?
