I have had the theory for a long time (patillera, that is, one of the good ones) that when Max Cavalera goes to a studio or goes on stage, he looks at those around him to know in which band or project he is going to play that day. If not, it is impossible to clarify, given the number of open fronts it currently has.

Go Ahead And Die It is the band that right now he has assembled with his son Igor Amadeus (yes, you read that correctly) and with Zach Coleman (Khemmis, Black Curse) accompanying them on drumsticks. A group that mixes with some sharpness elements of death and thrash spiced with a small dose of the first-born Celtic Frost. All seasoned with a vindictive punk attitude and clear social criticism.
Themes like the initial ‘Truckload Full Of Bodies’, ‘El Cuco’ or ‘Worth Less Than Piss’ are the ideal soundtrack to listen to full blast while your television spits images of riots, populist politicians, murderous policemen, deadly pandemics and others beauties to which, unfortunately, we have become accustomed.
We are not really facing any great news or something that we have not heard before, even in other Max projects (Cavalera Conspiracy, without going any further), but it is always interesting to see that the saga continues on and that the metal gene has passed to the next generation.
We will see how much travel these Go Ahead And Die have and how the one from Belo Horizonte is able to accommodate it in its busy schedule, which must be tremendously difficult. And I suspect that we, too, will have to look at those around them to make sure we haven’t gone to the wrong concert.
