The city of Gmünd does not take any risks with the general refurbishment including district heating connection, photovoltaics and elevator of the municipal building at Schremser Straße 4 with 13 apartments and two commercial units (including the Kidsnest): A loan of EUR 1.25 million is being taken out from Kommunalkredit 3.4% fixed interest included for 20 years.
The installments are repaid as stipulated by the tenants. After all, the fixed interest rate makes things calculable for them, Thomas Miksch explained the SPÖ’s okay. Housing City Councilor Benjamin Zeilinger (FPÖ) thanked for the unanimity. The start of the redevelopment already announced in NÖN (next municipal building redevelopment in Gmünd city center) should take place this year.
