The two minors who were arrested for the fire that broke out on Monday in Glyfada will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office. The two 14-year-olds have already admitted their act and said they did it for “play”.
Already, they have been fined 4,640.60 euros and together with their parents they will be presented to the Prosecutor who will decide on the rest.
The Fire Department issued a statement about the incident which states: “Two (2) minors were arrested yesterday, August 12, 2024, as part of the spontaneous procedure, by investigative officers of the Arson Crimes Directorate (D.A.E.E.), for an intentional fire, in a forest area, in the area Terpsithea, of the municipality of Glyfada, in Attica and were imposed administrative fines of €4,640.60 each.
The aforementioned, as well as their guardians, will be brought today, August 13, 2024, to the Juvenile Prosecutor, of the Athens Primary Prosecutor’s Office”.
