Neighbors in the northern part of the city are organizing another street festival: popular local bands perform at the “Glünderfest” in Glünderstraße.

north town The neighbors bake cakes and organize lots of games for the children: On September 2nd, the now traditional street festival will be held again on Glünderstraße in Nordstadt. From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., residents and guests meet to chat and celebrate. For children there is a bouncy castle, face painting, a wheel of fortune, throwing cans and a skate park, and there is also a clown.

For the first time, the organizers have collected money for the stage program with local bands via a crowdfunding campaign. “We are very pleased that we can organize the street festival despite the significantly increased costs, and we would like to thank our neighbors and supporters,” says Lasse Jaspers. In 2013, the volunteers organized the festival for the first time since the 1990s.

The band “Egon and the Tractor Drivers” is particularly popular with children. TrustinOne, singer of the acoustic pop band Liedfett from Hamburg, performs together with the Hanoverian multi-instrumentalist John Winston Berta. You can also hear and see The Derrix with blues rock, The Ability to swing, a swing, jazz and blues combo with musicians from Glünderstrasse, as well as Cosmic Tribe (neo hippie space rock) and the royal bride Polka.
