Glowing Heads, the luminous portraits of Nina Childress at L’Alliance New York

As a living demonstration of Franco-American cultural exchanges, artist Nina Childress – born in the United States, working in France and recently inducted into the Academy of Fine Arts – L’Alliance New York’s takeover of public spaces by Smart headsphosphorescent paint displayed in the dark and under ultraviolet light.

Who is Nina Childress?

Nina Childress (born 1961 in Pasadena, California) is one of the most celebrated and acclaimed French painters of her generation. Always reinventing himself and embracing all modes of representation, Childress explored painting in abstraction and hyperrealism, enlarged everyday objects and created introspective self-portraits.
