Despite the hail that fell on Torrejón de Ardoz and threatened to tarnish Gloria Camila Ortega’s big day, the young woman has finally been able to kick off her fashion brand after almost two years of work. The designer has just launched Bakkus, together with her partners, Elisa Vázquez, Lorena Elorriaga, Bakkus, a brand that was born from her darkest episodes.
“It all started with my adventure in the Digital Marketing master’s degree. It was a time of reflection on the difficult moments of my adolescence, especially those related to the fight for my image and my self-esteem. I gained 15 kilos and the comments about my appearance were constant , although the one that hurt me the most came from a family member. It was a difficult moment full of anxiety and sadness, but also learning,” Gloria Camila comments to LA RAZÓN.

Fortunately, those shadows turned into lights and the designer is now going through a stage in which she not only accepts herself, but feels proud of being who she is. And that’s where their brand motto, “Proud To Be,” lies: “With more information and learning about mental health, I understand those dark days better. And that’s why Bakkus was born, a brand to make people feel proud to be who they are, regardless of their size.
Gloria Camila herself acknowledges to this newspaper that, although she is “more stable than before,” she still has a long way to go on this path until she reaches full mental health: “I’m not completely recovered, but hey, I’m focused. I am studying Law, and I am very happy. I am passing everything. In addition, the brand has been a lot of mental hassle, but in the end it has turned out super well and I am very relaxed. The support of my father, my family, my friends has been fundamental. brothers and my partner, David”.

And there they were all, along with other members of the Ortega-Jurado saga. Rosa Benito, Rosario Mohedano, Rocío and David Flores, her uncles Gloria Mohedano and José Antonio or Marina, the domestic worker who has become one more, have shown their support for Gloria Camila on this important day for her, in addition to other well-known friends such as Omar Sáncez, Anabel Pantoja’s ex; Amor Romeira, José Antonio León or Fani Carbajo.
The most marked absence, of course, was that of his mother, although “The Greatest” was also present through the music that enlivened the parade: “The DJ did a great job mixing my mother’s music with techno. As for his older brother, José Fernando, it stands out how recovered he seems after spending years admitted to the San Juan de Dios center in Ciempozuelos. His departures have been repeated in recent months, and although Gloria Camila does not want to delve into this matter to respect her privacy, she clarifies that her brother “is very well, you have already seen it. We are all great.” .

The designer refuses, however, to comment on the attacks she has received from Michu, her ex-sister-in-law, who accuses her and José Fernando of having betrayed her, hiding an alleged disloyalty from her: “Today is such an important day for me, of “To be with my loved ones and my people. To be well and happy, I don’t want to touch on that topic.”
Among her people is, of course, her partner David. The boy is very discreet and prefers to stay away from public opinion. Their relationship is more than consolidated, but at the moment no wedding bells are ringing. Regarding a possible pregnancy, Gloria Camila does not rule out the possibility in the near future: “I don’t know when it will arrive, but when it arrives I will be happy.”
