9996 are the persons newly diagnosed with COVID-19 in our country for the past 24 hours – an absolute record since the beginning of the pandemic in our country. This is 7617 more cases than yesterday, according to the Unified Information Portal.
A total of 44,772 tests were performed during the last 24 hours. This means that the new cases are 22.3% of those tested, compared to 16.8% for the previous day. 78.78% of those who tested positive had not been vaccinated. At the same time, 551 were cured.
There were 161 deaths during the day, of which 91.9% were unvaccinated. The death toll since the beginning of the pandemic is 32,247.
13,723 doses of vaccine were given in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of people with a completed vaccination course is 1,964,692, and those with a booster dose – 512,621.
The number of active cases is increasing and is now 160,761, which is a record increase of 9,284 more than in the previous report. However, there is a decrease in the number of hospitalized persons, as they are 5223, which is 44 less (829 were admitted to hospital, 873 were discharged).
It also reduces the number of patients admitted to intensive care units, which are 541 – 16 less on a daily basis.
The total confirmed cases of coronavirus so far are 830 604, and the active ones are 160 171. The cured since the beginning of the pandemic in our country are 637 596.
